First Niagara Closing Royersford Branch

First Niagara is closing 106 banks in the region, including its Royersford branch.

As part of its ongoing merger with KeyBank, regional banking company First Niagara is closing 106 of its branches across four states, including a few local spots, a press release states.

The closures will effect branches in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, according to KeyBank.

The shutdown of the local branch in Royersford is expected to take effect in October. First Niagara is located on 440 W Linfield-Trappe Road.

KeyBank said they were committed to offering all employees in closed branches other roles within KeyBank. There are a total of 304 First Niagara branches.

"(This) marks another milestone in KeyBank's merger with First Niagara," Beth Mooney, KeyCorp's Chairman and CEO, said in a statement. "Helping our clients and communities thrive is central to all we do, as is serving our shareholders. And to that point, we remain confident in and committed to meeting the growth and financial objectives of the First Niagara acquisition."

  • 560 Route 100, Boyertown
  • 930 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown
  • 955 Horsham Road, Horsham
  • 502 State Avenue, Emmaus
