Record: 10-2 (undefeated in conference), lost to Coatesville in first round of districts.

Overall Impressions: "We definitely took a step forward," head coach Chad Brubaker said. "We hadn't made the playoffs before and that was one of the goals the kids and I made. The same goes for winning the PAC-10. It's been a while since that's happened, and the first time it's happened outright since 1995. Coming into the season, one of the first things you wrote about was that our staff was concerned about . What was amazing about that was to see the seniors each contributing in their own way to the overall leadership of the team. We have kids with different personalities and different ways of doing things. It seemed like the seniors did such a tremendous job each in their own way to contribute to that leadership, which was really what we needed. That was what we thought we needed to achieve what we wanted to achieve. It was an excellent senior class that will definitely be missed."

Major Injuries: "No, that was another concern going in, especially on the offensive and defensive lines. We didn't feel like we had a lot of depth. You can attribute a lot of that to our kids and their strength training and conditioning. Injuries generally happen through one of three things in football: the kid wasn't in the shape that he needed to be in, he wasn't as strong as he needed to be, or he didn't play 100-percent on a particular play. That's good for our kids that they did what they needed to do. We definitely made strides and hopefully we continue to make strides in that area."

Best Game: "I think we had a two-game stretch against and then , where we were really playing well. We gave up 35 points against Pottsgrove defensively, but it really wasn't bad. We played really well on both sides of the ball and on special teams against Boyertown. That was really the beef of our schedule. We hadn't beaten Pottsgrove in 12 years and certainly Boyertown is another big school in our league. So, those two games, we really played our best."
Worst Game: "Well, I don't know. You could take our two losses, but we played well enough to win against . We just had some turnovers. We were right in that game. Against , we were outmanned. Our kids didn't give up. We scored over 20 points against them. Looking at that, I would say, hey, take your hat off to the better team. I felt that at the end of the schedule, after the Boyertown game, we did not play up to our potential. We had more mental mistakes than we would have liked to have had. We had our coaching staff meeting the other day and talked about the difference in our defensive efforts in the first five-six games in our schedule and the last five-six games in our schedule. We weren't flying around like we were in the first five-six games. The last three-four games of our schedule, we didn't play up to the expectations the coaching staff had."
Story of the Year: "I guess this is redundant, but I would say the maturation of the senior class is a big story, because we had those concerns going into the year. We were amazed at the way in which people contributed to the leadership of our football team. If you don't have leadership, the wheels could fall off. That would be one thing. We knew what we had at a lot of positions. Our defense ended up second in our league with points given up and that even included giving up a lot of points in a couple of games. Our defense lost 10-11 starters last year and we were very young this year at a lot of positions. The defensive staff did a great job to get these kids ready to play."
Unexpected Leader/Youngster: "We knew that Jarred Jones had some ability. Until we really put him in game situations, we weren't quite sure how good he was going to be. Obviously, he ran for over 1,400 yards at nine yards per carry. He would be one of them."
Thoughts About Next Year: "We feel pretty good about our sophomore class that will be juniors next years. We had a lot of contributions from underclassmen this year. Our quarterback, tailback, fullback are all back offensively. A lot of the other starters were underclassmen, as well. Next year, we feel like we're going to have a lot of good competition for positions. Our ninth grade team was very good and has some size. So, the thing that we always want is to bring competition. If there's competition at different positions, it forces people to play their best every day at practice. Everybody gets exponentially better because of that. We like our kids. We have some big shoes to fill in terms of Andrew Scanlan, but you don't need one guy to step up and replace him. We can have two guys that can step up and fill in for people like that."
Last Thoughts: "We really appreciate the community's support and want people to be excited about all Spring-Ford athletics, not just football. Our student body was there for every game. They were unbelievable. They were there and fired up. That's something that's tremendous to see. We have a that's second to none. We have great cheerleaders and great administrators. We have a lot of things in place. I am really proud to be a part of the Spring-Ford School District and hope to be back in the mix again next year."
