Former PA State Wrestling Champ, Montco Native, Passes At Age 40
Travis Coy Hunter, 40, a West-Mont Christian Academy grad, was a state wrestling champion, U.S. Navy veteran, and taekwondo black belt.

ROYERSFORD, PA — Travis Hunter passed away on October 20th, 2017.
Born on May 14, 1977, Travis lived life adventurously and with a big heart. Those who truly knew him were blessed with his huge kilowatt smiles, humorous personality and sweet heart. He walked his own walk, and owned his life.

Some of Travis' proudest accomplishments were achieving a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, winning a wrestling Pennsylvania State Championship while graduating high school from the West-Mont Christian Academy in 1996, serving his country in the Navy on the USS Kitty Hawk until 1999 and his membership in the Carpenters Union.
Travis loved working on projects around his house, as well as helping out friends and family with their projects at a moment's notice. Travis also had a passion for tending to his garden, sharing the harvest, spending time hunting with his father and feeling the wind against his face while riding his motorcycle.

Above all, Travis' proudest accomplishments were his three children, Tru, Karis and Carly.
Travis is also survived by his parents Randy and Judy Hunter, sister and brother-in-law Mandy and Scott Lobaugh, niece Brooke Mullen and nephew Trevor Lobaugh, grandparents Doug and Ginny Snyder, Charlie Miller, along with an incredible family unit of aunts, uncles, cousins and large family contingency living in Arkansas. Travis is predeceased by grandmother Jewell Miller and grandfather Bob Hunter.
To honor Travis' wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 29th at Keystone Fire Hall, 240 N Walnut St, Boyertown, PA 19512. The family invites you to celebrate Travis' life by sharing memories, experiences and laughs you had with Travis.
Visitation will be from 12 - 2pm followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony and toast led by Pastor Al Giles from 2 - 2:30pm, with refreshments (Busch) and light food from 12 - 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the "Travis Hunter's Children Fund." Donations will be accepted at the Celebration of Life or can be donated online line at https://www.gofundme.com/travis-hunter039s-children-fund.
Travis' Celebration of Life arrangements are being handled by Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford, PA.
