Along with these two excellent groups, the outstanding High School Wind Ensemble will perform as well. Then, to top the night off, The Music Association brings you a special music event with the West Chester Swing Kings. The West Chester Swing Kings, from Chester County, is a 19-piece big band style Jazz Ensemble who will really get you "Swing’n!"
They have played throughout the southeastern Pennsylvania area, and have been seen in concert during the summer months playing at such places as Rose Tree Park, Longwood Gardens, and Belleview State Park in Delaware. They will entertain us with some popular music from the 1940s such as "In The Mood," "Woodchopper's Ball," and "Sing Sing Sing," Some of the newer pieces include Brian Setzer's "Rock This Town", Natalie Cole's "L-O-V-E" and "Orange Colored Sky," Jim Croce's "Bad Bad Leroy Brown," Nora Jones' "Don't Know Why," “Chicago” as performed by Buddy Rich, and "Respect" made famous by the one and only Aretha Franklin. We are sure you will enjoy this toe tapping good time.
