Freight Train Kills Woman In Royersford

ROYERSFORD, PA — A freight train hit and killed a woman in Royersford on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The incident occurred on the tracks between Main Street and Arch Street, according to authorities.

The victim has not been identified pending notification of kin. It's not yet clear what circumstances led to the incident.

An investigation has begun. Police said that Norfolk Southern is "supporting" on the case.

Both Main and Arch streets were shut down following the accident.
