Full Siren Test To Be Held Monday At Limerick Generating Station
A high pitched alarm will sound throughout a 10 mile radius of Limerick Generating Station on Monday afternoon.

LIMERICK, PA — A siren test will be held at Limerick Generating Station Monday afternoon, and odds are you'll hear it if you are anywhere nearby.
The high pitched, wailing alarm will be heard within about a 10 mile radius of the station. It is no cause for alarm and is part of routine safety testing.
The test on Monday, which will begin at 2 p.m., is a "full test" of the alarm, which is conducted semi-annually in June and December. Partial, shorter tests are held on the first Monday of each month.

If you should hear the sirens outside of normal testing periods, please know that they are not a signal to evacuate, Exelon said. Rather, you should tune in to the Emergency Alert System radio for instructions.
