GIANT Food Stores launch GIANT Pick Up service in Royersford

GIANT Food Stores today announced the launch of its new GIANT Pick Up service in the Doylestown and Royersford communities in partnership with leading internet grocer and sister company, Peapod. Shoppers can now order their groceries online through Peapod.com for easy pick up at the GIANT Food Stores located at 4357 W. Swamp Road, Doylestown and 967 S. Township Line Road in Royersford.

“GIANT Pick Up is a convenient and affordable option that enables customers to shop when they want and how they want to from their smartphone or computer and then pick up their groceries without having to leave the comfort of their vehicle,” said John MacDonald, director of marketing and external communications.

To take advantage of GIANT Pick Up, shoppers visit Peapod.com or the Peapod app on their smartphone where they enter their zip code. Once there, they can add items to their cart, select a payment method and then choose a convenient one hour pick-up time any day of the week. There is no fee for the service and no minimum purchase required. Manufacturer coupons are accepted and doubled and customers will be prompted to enter at the time of payment. When customers arrive at their designated Pick Up location, an attendant is waiting to put the bags directly into their car.

In addition, shoppers can create personal lists, read nutritional information online, sort products rapidly by price or by nutrition criteria, and take advantage of thousands of weekly specials. GIANT customers can even shop from a list of items they have bought at their local store simply by entering their GIANT BonusCard number online. They can also earn Gas Extra Rewards and A+ School Rewards on their pick-up orders.
