Girls Hoops Heading to States

...Spring-Ford, ranked first in Class AAAA in the state by the Harrisburg Patriot-News, qualified for the state tournament with the victory as well.

Despite their breakout offensive efforts, Moore and Stipa were more interested in talking about their guarding skills afterward.

“My part is mainly defense,” said Stipa, a cat-quick 5-foot-5 sophomore. “Offense will come to me. If my shot’s on in the beginning, that’s fine. But if not,I work on my defense.”

“I look to shut a person down first before I look for my shot,” echoed Moore, a 5-5 junior. “I look for tips, steals and stuff like that, and it gets me going.”
