Overall Impressions of the Season: "I think we had a successful season," said head coach Todd Reagan. "We won 79-percent of our singles matches and we won 75-percent of our doubles matches. So, that's a pretty good mark there. We had six matches that we won 7-0. That's always a good thing to have and is always a nice thing."

Best Match: "I would say our win against Boyertown was a pretty good win," Reagan said. "It was our last league match that we played. We won it 4-3. Boyertown had just beat Methacton, who had turned out to be the league champion. It was raining that morning. We worked real hard. The maintenance guys were helping us to get the courts dry. We played and it actually turned into a great day.

"One of our singles players was sick, so we had to move some people up. Tomomi Mitsuzuka, a sophomore from our second doubles team, had to move into the third singles spot. She won a three-set match, 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 to clinch the victory for us. She actually had to wait for 15 minutes to finish the last few games, because a short shower came through and we had to squeegee the courts again so she could go out and finish her match. She worked real hard to hold on and she won the big one for us."

Worst Match: "Probably the first match of the season," said Reagan. "We lost to Phoenixville, 4-3. We knew they were going to be pretty tough. They obviously ended up finishing second in the league. We had edged them last year in the first match of the season. It was a really close contest this year. It's always tough opening your year with a loss. It kind of puts you behind the eight ball for the rest of the season, but after that, we came back and won four matches in a row. So, that was good. We responded well to the opening loss."

Story of the Year: "That's a hard one," said Reagan. "Honestly, the one stand-out memory this year is Tomomi's three-set win against Boyertown. It was a unique situation of having someone step up into a singles spot. Our team was supporting her and the J.V. team was all there, the varsity team was all there. She had 27 girls cheering for her and had to sit and wait while they cleared the courts. She was a first-time ever singles player and won the match for us. It's pretty tough playing when everybody's watching you and she did a great job. That was one of the coolest moments this year."

Thoughts About Next Year: "Next year, I think we'll be competitive," Reagan said. "We were in the mix. We ended up in fourth place in the PAC-10. We lost to the champion, 5-2. We lost to the second place team, 4-3. We were right in it against the top teams. We do lose five very valuable seniors, but we do have some good kids coming back. I had two juniors, two sophomores and two freshmen in the varsity lineup this year. We'll have all six of them back and plus we had a very good junior varsity team here this year that didn't lose a match. We have those girls ready to step in and fill in for those five departing seniors. So, we're optimistic that we can be highly competitive next year if the kids work hard over the summer and in the spring time on their games."

How Many Seniors Next Year? "You never know - I'll preface with that," Reagan said. "You never know who's coming out and what other kids show up, but this year, we had eight juniors. So, if we get all eight back and only those eight back, we'd have eight seniors."

Unexpected Leader: "Obviously our seniors did a great job of leading by example," said Reagan. "But, our second and third singles players did a good job of stepping up as well. Claire Parker, a sophomore at second singles really showed some toughness this year. She had some tough matches that she really persevered through and won. She ended up with a 10-2 overall record. At third singles, Steph Cifarelli kind of stepped up as the leader just by winning every time. She was 13-0 and she went through the whole season only losing one set (to Methacton). She won in two sets 12 times and one in three sets just one time. She just went out there and by her confidence, she won matches. As a junior, that's pretty cool."

Last Thoughts? "Looking forward to another competitive season next year," Reagan said. "Hopefully we can beat some of the guys that got the best of us this year."
