Girls Vball Receives Awards at Banquet
A recap of the end of the season banquet for girls volleyball at Spring-Ford

The Spring-Ford girls volleyball team held its end-of-season banquet on Dec. 1 at the . Head coach Josh McNulty addressed the team, and thanked them, their parents, and athletic director Mickey McDaniel for all of the assistance they provided during McNulty’s first season coaching a high school team.
Although the team got a late start this year, since McNulty did not come on board until August, the team still met its goal of reaching the post-season play-offs, which had only been done one other time in the history of the team.

During the ceremony, varsity letters were given out, as well as participation certificates for the junior varsity team. A highlight of the evening was when the coaching staff announced that junior had been selected for the First Team of the Ches-Mont All-league team.
This is the first time that a Spring-Ford player has ever received this honor! Seniors Amanda Goodrich and Kendall Janus received Honorable Mention for the league.

Having finished the season with a winning record for the first time in several years, the team is already looking forward to a successful run in 2012.
