High Winds Leave Hundreds Without Power in Upper Providence

Hundreds were left without power in the Upper Providence area on Monday after high winds swept through the region.

Powerful wind gusts swept across the region on Monday morning, leading to thousands of power outages in the Montgomery County area.

Upper Providence still had 299 residents without power as of 12:30 p.m. Monday. That's about three percent of all PECO customers in the township.

PECO estimated that most outages would be repaired by around 2 p.m., according to their outage map.
