Homecoming Kicks Off for Spring-Ford High School

Starting with spirit week and leading up to the big football game, homecoming is here for Spring-Ford High School.

It seemed to be a normal Friday night at Spring-Ford High School's football stadium. The parking lots were filled, the bleachers packed, and there was cheering from the sidelines of the football game, except the ones doing the cheering were the football players, and the ones doing the playing were the junior and senior girls.

Kicking off their homecoming with Spirit Week, Spring-Ford High School continued it Friday night with their annual powder puff football game. At this event, the girls play flag football while the football players stand on the sidelines and cheer them along, even putting on a halftime performance.

The junior and senior girls were split up into teams, each taking their turn at different quarters. A great game was played, but the seniors ended up victorious over the juniors. Homecoming continues with the varisty football game Saturday at 2 p.m., and the homecoming dance that evening.
