Investigation Continues After Teen Killed, 3 Hurt In Route 422 Police Chase

It's not yet clear what criminal charges, if any, will be filed.

LIMERICK, PA — An investigation remains ongoing after a teenager was killed and three more people were injured following a police chase in Montgomery County over the weekend.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released, nor have any criminal charges been announced.

The incident began in the early morning hours Saturday, Feb. 14 on Route 422.

A Kia was traveling eastbound in Limerick Township when state police attempted to pull the vehicle over for traffic violations, state police said.

The driver refused to pull over, sparking the chase, according to authorities.

The pursuit continued down 422 into Upper Merion Township, where the vehicle crashed into a concrete road barrier, officials said.

The driver, an 18-year-old male, was killed. The three other passengers, who have only been identified as males, were injured.
