Investigation Launched After Man Struck, Killed On 422 Shoulder

ROYERSFORD, PA — A man was struck and killed on the shoulder of US 422 recently. An investigation into the death is ongoing.

The incident occurred on Sunday, March 10 at around 8:28 p.m., police said.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, stopped his vehicle for unknown reasons on the shoulder near Royersford.

The man suffered tramautic injuries after he was hit, and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The striking vehicle did not stop and fled the scene, police said.

There were no witnesses to the accident, and there are no leads on the striking vehicle, authorities said.
