The race raises money for a scholarship in the name of former Spring-Ford student Julianne Leigh Siller, who was tragically killed in 2013.

An upcoming race raises money for a scholarship in the name of former Spring-Ford student Julianne Leigh Siller, who was tragically killed in 2013.

Siller was murdered by her boyfriend in 2013, just three weeks before high school graduation. The 17-year-old had planned on attending Penn State Altoona.

But she lives on in the scholarship in her name that has been active for four years. The scholarship is given to graduating Spring-Ford seniors.
