Lane closures are planned on numerous stretches of 422 next week as construction work gets underway.

Work will impact the roadway in Lower Providence, Upper Providence, Upper Merion, Limerick, West Norriton, and Lower Pottsgrove, according to PennDOT.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, June 16, through Friday, June 21, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: One lane of eastbound 422 will be closed between the Oaks and Route 363 (Trooper Road) interchanges in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships for paving
  • Monday, June 17, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: The right lane of eastbound 422 will be closed between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) interchanges in Lower Providence, West Norriton and Upper Merion townships
  • Monday, June 17, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: periodic 15-minute traffic stoppages will occur on eastbound 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and U.S. 202 interchanges for bridge railing installation
  • Monday, June 17, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: periodic 15-minute traffic stoppages will occur on westbound 422 between the U.S. 202 and Route 363 (Trooper Road) interchanges for bridge railing installation
  • Monday, June 17, through Thursday, June 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.: The right lane and shoulder will be closed on eastbound 422 between Park Road and Township Line Road in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships for concrete patching
  • Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.: The left lane and shoulder will be closed on eastbound U.S. 422 between Park Road and Township Line Road for concrete patching
