Lane Closures On Route 422 To Disrupt Area Traffic

Upcoming lane closures on Route 422 will disrupt traffic patterns in the area, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation recently announced.

The left lane of 422 will be shut down westbound in Lower Pottsgrove, between Sanatoga and Armand Hammer. Closures will be in place on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The closures are related to bridge construction over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.

The work is part of a $73.3 million project to rebuild 1.6 miles of U.S. 422 in that area. It's slated for completion in October 2018.
