Late Royersford Man Had Donations After Funeral Sent To Friendship Ambulance

When Edward "Poppy" Wagner of Royersford passed on, his family ensured his legacy would continue to make an impact.

ROYERSFORD, PA -- A longtime Royersford man and his family decided to make his legacy something extra special: they asked all donations in his name be made to the Friendship Ambulance Company of Royersford.

The family of Edward T. "Poppy" Wagner asked that donations be made to Friendship in Edward's name in lieu of flowers.

Poppy passed in August, but donations are still coming in. Friendship issued a statement Wednesday:

"We are humbled and extremely gratefully to the Wagner family for the generosity allowing Friendship Ambulance to be the recipient of donations on behalf of their beloved husband and father, Edward, who passed suddenly August 26, 2016. While we have received many donations from various sources we would like to specifically thank the Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate office located in Collegeville for the support they continue to show the Wagner family, but also Friendship Ambulance. We would like to recognize Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach and the Trident Group for the gracious donation made to us in Edward’s name."
