Limerick To Begin Construction On New Kurlyo Preserve Trail

Construction on a new trail in Limerick Township will commence with a ribbon cutting ceremony this Saturday.

LIMERICK, PA — Construction on a new trail in Limerick Township will commence with a ribbon cutting ceremony this Saturday.

The trail will run through Kurylo Preserve, described by officials as a "sister park" to Limerick Community Park. It will run for about two miles to Limerick Community Park. Around three quarters of a mile of the trail will be completed in the first phase, according to the township.

The Preserve is on the Kurylo Farm property which Limerick acquired in 2007 for $2.8 million, officials said.

An event will be held on May 5 at 8 a.m. at the trail's entrance on 231 N. Limerick Road in Schwenksville. The public is invited to join.
