Limerick K9 Rambo Gets Bulletproof Vest Donation
Great news for one of Limerick's finest, K9 Rambo.

LIMERICK, PA -- One of Limerick's finest, K9 Rambo, is now better protected on the job thanks to the donation of a bullet and stab-proof vest.
The vest, valued at about $950, comes thanks to a sponsorship from Triad Truck Equipment in Pottstown. It will be embroidered with the quote, "Honoring those who served and sacrificed."
Officials said they expect the vest to arrive within the next eight to ten weeks.

The vest comes from Vested Interest in K9'S, Inc. The non-profit was established in 2009 to assist law enforcement agencies with this potentially lifesaving body armor for their four-legged K9 officers.
Since its inception, Vested Interest said they have provided more than 3,200 protective vests, in 50 states, through private and corporate donations, at a cost of more than $5.7 million.

The program is open to dogs actively employed in the U.S. with law enforcement or related agencies who are certified and at least 20 months of age, according to the press release. Vested Interest noted that new K9 graduates, as well as K9s with expired vests, are eligible to participate.
