Limerick Officers Honored For Work In Catching Sexual Predator And Drug Dealer

Excellent work by Limerick's finest.

LIMERICK, PA -- Several Limerick Township police officers were honored by Chief Brian Skelton during a township meeting this week for their excellent work in bringing a pair of dangerous criminals to justice.

Detective Ernie Morris was honored for his work in tracking and capturing a man who sexually assaulted juveniles over a period of 30 years, police said.

That suspect has since been convicted and sentenced to federal prison for 20 years and state prison for 20 to 50 years.

Skelton also honored four others: Sergeant Paul Marchese, Detective Pat Roche, Officer John Kehoe, and Officer Chris Iochum for booking a dangerous drug dealer.

The suspect, already a convicted felon, was in possession of heroin, methamphetamine, prescription medications, and two handguns, police said. Because the man was a convicted felon, he was not allowed to have the guns.

An investigation revealed that a second suspect had purchased the guns for the first suspect in what is known as a straw purchase.

Each man received a combined 6 to 15 years in state prison, police said.

Excellent work, Limerick's finest!
