Phoenixville Federal Bank has continued its yearly tradition of making large donations toward local nonprofits.

ROYERSFORD, PA -- Phoenixville Federal Bank has continued its yearly tradition of making large donations toward local nonprofits, including several in the local area.

At this year's Celebration of Giving reception, held on Tuesday at Columbia Station in the borough, more than 70 nonprofits received funding, organizers said.

Representatives from community groups around the area, including Phoenixville, Royersford, Collegeville, and Limerick, all participated in the event.

Royersford Police, who were among those groups to receive a donation, publicly thanked the bank.

“The reception is an opportunity for area non-profits to gather together in one place, and to recognize that it is not one person, or even one organization, that makes a community thrive,” Carol Buckwalter, Vice President of Marketing, at the 105-year-old institution, said in a press release. “No one can do it alone. We believe this is a cause for celebration.”
