Man Wields Butcher Knife During Gas Station Robbery In Montco

LOWER POTTSGROVE, PA -- The search is on for a suspect after an armed robbery at a gas station in Lower Pottsgrove over the weekend

The incident occurred at about 9:39 p.m. on April 15 at the US Gas on 2177 East High Street.

The suspect was armed with a butcher knife when he ran inside the store, first attacking a customer and then an employee, police said.

He then forced open the cash register, stole some money, and fled the scene, according to authorities.

The customer and employee suffered minor injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a black male standing about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, with a stocky build. He was dressed in dark clothing with a hood, black mask or scarf, and purple rubber gloves.
