Manhunt Underway Following Armed Robbery At Royersford Bank

ROYERSFORD, PA — A bank in Royersford was robbed at gunpoint on Friday and a manhunt is underway for the suspects, who fled from the scene in a white sedan.

The incident occurred at around 10:15 a.m. at the BB&T Bank on 793 Main Street, police said.

The first suspect, a white male in his 30s or 40s, entered the bank with a gun tucked into his waistband, police said. He demanded money from the teller, obtained some unknown amount of cash, and ran outside.

Another suspect, the driver, was waiting inside the white sedan outside. When the first suspect got in, the fled in an unknown direction.

The vehicle was missing both passenger side hubcaps, authorities said.

The first suspect was about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and concealed his face with a black and white mask.

He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.

Anyone with any information about the vehicle or suspects should contact Royersford police at 610-948-3333 or the FBI at 215-418-4000. A reward may be offered, police said.
