Local Easter Egg Hunt Cancelled Due To Unruly Parents

POTTSTOWN, PA -- It looks like the Easter Bunny isn't welcome everywhere in the area.

Parents and adult community members, apparently, have made that clear.

An Easter Egg hunt organized by the Norco Fire Company has been cancelled this year due to "unruly crowds" of adults in recent years.

"We know that the majority of our community is not the problem," the fire company said in a statement. "But we can't risk injury to children because certain individuals can't control themselves."

Organizers were not specific about what type of unruliness had been present in the past.

Hopefully, adults will take this is a sign to get their act together before future events.

For those whom this has inconvenienced, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at Althouse Arboretum in Pottstown on April 8.
