Montco Man Possessed, Distributed Child Porn: Officials

The Montgomery County man faces up to 50 years in prison.

POTTSTOWN, PA — A Pottstown man has been arrested and charged with possessing and sharing child pornography, authorities said.

The charges against Calvin Roeder, 31, were announced by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. They include two counts of distribution and one of possession.

The distribution of the explicit images of children allegedly occurred between June 2 and June 23 of 2017, according to authorities.

Roeder faces a mandatory minimum of four years in prison if convicted. The maximum sentence for these charges is 50 years behind bars.

Assistant United States Attorney Josh A. Davison will prosecute the case.
