Montco's New Pulsepoint App Saves Man's Life In Limerick
Just weeks after implementation, Montgomery County's new PulsePoint App helped save the life of a 56-year-old man in cardiac arrest.

LIMERICK, PA — Just weeks after implementation, Montgomery County's new PulsePoint App helped save the life of a 56-year-old man in cardiac arrest.
The mobile app, called Montgomery County PulsePoint Respond, is connected to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety 911 call center. Whenever there is a call for cardiac arrest, anyone who has the app and is within a quarter mile of the location of the call will receive a notification.
On July 1, a man Limerick suffered from cardiac arrest, the county said.

When PulsePoint sent out notifications, five bystanders were within the quarter mile range. One of them was an off-duty paramedic from Lehigh Valley.
The paramedic helped first responders save the man's life. He is currently recovering, officials said.
