Montgomery County Tire Collection To Be Held In Limerick

LIMERICK, PA — Montgomery County is holding a tire collection event in Limerick this weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 16 at the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center.

The free events, organized by the Montgomery County Commissioners, help reduce mosquito breeding grounds and allow for proper, safe disposal of tires.

Tires will be shredded and recycled by local businesses into road material, sound barrier wall material, and playground material, officials said.

Residents are limited to 10 tires. Tires may not be off-road tires. Only Montgomery County residents may participate, and businesses are not allowed.

The Center is located on 77 Graterford Road in Limerick.
