Motorcyclist Lifeflighted After Serious Crash In Limerick

The chopper landed at Heritage Field.

LIMERICK, PA — A motorcyclist was severely injured and evacuated by a medical helicopter in Limerick last month, the Limerick Fire Department said.

The incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. on May 29, on the Ridge Pike ramp between Masters Drive and Rupert Road.

Details of the crash are not yet clear.

The ramp on Ridge Pike was shut down as first responders arrived to the scene.

Freedom Valley EMS and Limerick firefighters provided care to the victim before transporting him to nearby Heritage Field Airport, where a JeffSTAT chopper had landed.

The motorcyclist was then flow to the chopper in serious condition.

No other injuries were reported.
