BAILEY

Rose Ann (Switzer)  Bailey, adoringly known as "Ramblin Rosie", beloved wife of Denis M. Bailey, of Valley Forge, passed peacefully in the arms of her loving family, October 21, 2011.  Rose Ann truly touched the lives of everyone she met through her warm, loving, compassionate ways and her joyful sense of humor that always made us smile.

Born in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Ferd F. Switzer, Jr., and Cecilia (Tegethoff) Switzer.  She attended St. Louis University.  Rose Ann was a loving kindergarten teacher at the Doane Stuart School in Albany, NY.  Rose Ann was an emeritus member of the Newcomer’s Club of the Upper Main Line, and she was a member of the St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Phoenixville.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, Rose Ann is survived by her cherished four children; T.J., husband of Jennifer (Broncato) Bailey, of Dix Hills, NY, Jane, wife of Bryan Goewey, of Loudonville, NY, Michael, husband of Kristin (Bruni) Bailey, of York, ME, Jim, husband of Kathy Lopez, of Manhattan, NY, and eight grandchildren, her brother; Ferd F. Switzer, III, husband of Julie Switzer, of New Orleans, and two nieces. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the St. Ann's Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM.  Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns.  Burial will be in the St. Ann's cemetery.  Friends will be received from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday or from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Wednesday morning at the Campbell–Ennis–Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Rose Ann’s name to the ALS Hope Foundation, 1333 Race Street, Suite 202, P.O. MEYERS

G. Harold Meyers, 92, formerly of Obelisk, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Frederick Living where he resided since 2003. He was the widower of Rose E. (Fϋnfer) Meyers.

He was born in Zieglersville, a son of the late George and Margaret (Stoneback) Meyers.  He attended  Schwenksville High School, where he starred as a pitcher on the baseball team.  Mr. Meyers was employed for thirty-three years at Dana Corporation.  Also, he was an accomplished steel guitar player, performing in churches and other venues, including on the radio.

He is survived by three sons: Larry G., Meyers, of West Chester; Greg A. Meyers, of Perkiomenville; and Robert L., husband of Lori-ann E. Meyers, of Perkiomenville; one brother, Lloyd R. Meyers, of Pottstown; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dean H. Meyers; one grandson, Larry G. Meyers, Jr.; two brothers, Willard (Bill) Meyers and John Meyers; and one sister, Mildred Hertel.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 10:15 AM at Frederick Living, Oaktree Chapel, 2849 Big Road, Frederick, PA.  Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Bradley F. Mellon.  Interment will follow in Christ E.C. Church Cemetery, Zieglersville.  Calling time will be from 9:30-10:15 AM at Frederick Living.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Frederick Living at the above address.
