Obituary: Ida B. O'Malley, 91

Of Phoenixville; member of Royersford Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses; July 9

Ida B. (Burns) O’Malley, 91, wife of the late William F. O’Malley, of Phoenixville, formerly Betzwood, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012, in the Genesis Healthcare at Spring Mill.  Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late John and Emma (Epprecht) Burns.

Mrs. O’Malley was one of Jehovah’s witnesses for 70 years and was a member of Royersford Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  A homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. O’Malley enjoyed cultural music, playing the piano, horticulture and especially loved growing her orchids and African violets.  She enjoyed time outdoors swinging in the backyard and her cat.

Mrs. O’Malley is survived by her children, Kathleen B. Zelensky, of Phoenixville, Janice E., wife of Fred Pletcher, of Phoenixville, and William J. O’Malley, of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Lisa B. Cohen and Michael W. Pletcher; great granddaughter, Amanda L. Pletcher; and cat, Mickey.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Leola Day and Anna Beynon; grandson, Nicholas Jacob Zelensky; and stepfather, Leroy Hallman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow in Green Tree Cemetery, Oaks.  Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00. Memorial contributions may be made in Ida’s name to the Royersford Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 108 Ridge Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460.  Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.
