Overnight Standoff, Shelter In Place Ends In Spring City
Multiple shots were fired but no one was hit.

SPRING CITY, PA — Several shots were fired and part of the community was under a shelter in place in Spring City overnight in the midst of a barricade incident in the borough, according to authorities and media reports.
The incident occurred on the 200 block of New Street at around 11:30 p.m.
A shelter in place was issued on New Street between Main Street and Cedar Street , and between Broad Street and Yost Street, police said.

One person was found injured due to a "domestic" incident when police arrived, according to NBC Philadelphia.
A negotiator was then able to get the man to surrender after several hours without any furthe incident, the report states.

The shots fired within the home did not hit anyone, and it's not clear if they were targeted at anyone.
The suspect, a man in his 50s, was not immediately identified, but he was criminally charged. Police said they plan on providing additional details later in the day Tuesday.
