PJP Graduate to Perform in University Dance Production
Local alumni continuing her dance career at a major university!
Emily Beck, graduate of Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford, PA, will be performing in the University of Pittsburgh Dance Ensemble production of "Dance Refracted" on December 1 and 2, 2016. Ms. Beck will perform in two dances in this production, a tap piece choreographed by Katerina Hadiari and a contemporary piece produced by Jenna Rosenburg. Ms. Beck will also work backstage running the sound for the concert. She was a graduate of Premiere Dance Studio in Pottstown, PA and will be performing alongside fellow Premiere alumni Ashley Interante. Ms. Beck was also a member of the Pope John Paul Studio 38 drama department.
"Dance Refracted" is the annual informal dance concert produced by the University of Pittsburgh Dance Ensemble. The Dance Ensemble performs ballet, jazz and modern dance choreography by students and guests. Ms. Beck has performed with this group for two years and takes dance classes at the University of Pittsburgh. The concert will take place in the Stephen Foster Memorial Theater on the University of Pittsburgh campus on December 1 and 2nd, at 7:00pm.
Tickets are $5 for the public and free for all Pitt Students. Public parking is available in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial, across from the William Pitt Union.
