Protests Against Trump Administration To Be Held Around Montgomery Co.
The Montco protests Saturday are part of a "sustained national resistance to tyranny," organizers say.
NORRISTOWN, PA — A series of "No Kings" events protesting President Trump's administration will be held around Montgomery County this Saturday, March 28, organizers announced, as part of what they're calling a "sustained national resistance to tyranny."
It's one of thousands set across the country this week, the third round of the nationally coordinated protests which previously took place last June and October.
A centerpiece event will be held at the Montgomery County courthouse steps from noon to 1:30 p.m.

There is also a "pep rally" event at the Norristown Transportation Center from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. It's branded as a warmup ahead of the bigger events at the courthouse steps and in Philadelphia.
"When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option," organizers said. "We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence."

Specifically, protests are targeting ICE enforcement actions characterized as "brutality" by organizers, as well as other actions by Trump deemed authoritarian.
Protests are also planned in Ambler, Audubon, Phoenixville, Pottstown, Lansdale, Harleysville, West Chester, and Pennsburg, among other communities.
The local event is being put together by Community for Change, one of numerous grassroots groups brought together by the national organization Indivisible.
In the first sets of No Kings protests last June and October, millions of people demonstrated against what they say are authoritarian policies of President Donald Trump. The first round of protests last summer were held on the same day as the U.S. Army 250th Anniversary Parade on Trump’s 79th birthday.
Protests will be held Saturday in every state in the country, with events planned in most major U.S. cities, as well as in Canada and Mexico. Protests are designed to be a peaceful day of action, according to the No Kings website.
