Rash Of Thefts Reported Along Perkiomen, Schuylkill River Trails
Police are warning trail users to be extra cautious after a rash of thefts from vehicles near the Perkiomen and Schuylkill River trails.

UPPER PROVIDENCE, PA — Police are warning trail users to be extra cautious after a rash of thefts from vehicles at the Perkiomen Trail and Schuylkill River Trail in the Upper Providence area.
Police made an announcement Sunday morning advising residents of the recent reports.
Thefts have occurred at numerous parking lots over the past several days at trailheads for both popular paths.

In each theft, suspects broke vehicle windows and stole items which were visible from outside of the vehicle, authorities said.
Upper Providence Police said that these thefts have not been restricted to Upper Providence, and that neighboring municipalities have reported similar incidents in parking lots adjacent to these trails.

Police urge all trailgoers to lock their vehicles and to keep all valuables out of view. Call 911 if you see anything suspicious.
