Rofo Native to Play with U.S. National Rugby Team
A St. Pius X graduate and Penn State student has gone to California to train in rugby at a most prestigious level.

The following was written by Darryl Grumling, published on Jan. 19 in The Pottstown Mercury:
Deven Owsiany is on schedule to graduate this spring with a degree in Health Policy Administration.
For the next year, however, Owsiany will be majoring in a different area of her expertise: the sport of rugby.

Owsiany, a Royersford resident and St. Pius X grad who is currently a senior at Penn State, leaves Saturday for Chula Vista, Calif., where she will train full time at the Olympic Training Center with the U.S. national rugby team.
The 22-year-old will forgo her senior season at Penn State, where she helped the Nittany Lions to two national championships.
