Route 29 To Be Restricted To One Lane For Construction

Additional traffic should be expected in Perkiomen, Limerick, and Skippack townships as construction gets underway on portions of Routes 29.

Route 29 will be reduced to one lane between Miller Road and Harrison Road beginning on Monday, April 9, authorities announced.

The restriction will be in place through early June.

Excavation and grading operations will improve traffic flow and safety at several intersections along Route 29.

Traffic will be controlled by a temporary signal.

Motorists should plan for delays and consider alternate routes.

Editor's note: a previous version of this story erroneously included dates of past construction activities. The coming construction is scheduled to begin on April 9 and is weather dependent.
