Royersford Borough Issues Public Notice for Mayor Vacancy
Township Manager Mike Leonard asked us to give the community a heads up.

A press release out of reveals the borough's desire to fill the vacancy left by the of current Mayor David Urner.
Urner cited personal issues as the reason for his resignation, which will take place officially on Sept. 30. Here is a copy of the release:

The Borough of Royersford will be accepting resumes for the office of Mayor. The term of the office of Mayor will expire on Jan. 2, 2014 (two-year term). The qualifications for the office of Mayor are: you must be 18 years of age, a resident of the Borough for one year, and a registered voter of the Borough. Please send your letter of interest and resume to Thomas Weikel, Council President 300 Main Street Royersford, Pa 19468. Deadline for receiving resumes will be Sept. 27, 2011.
