Royersford Cop Saves Man From Overdose On Christmas Eve

A Christmas miracle: a Royersford police officer's quick thinking saved a man's life on Christmas Eve.

ROYERSFORD, PA — A man overdosing on heroin was given a second chance at life after a Royersford police officer found him on Christmas Eve.

The victim, a 31-year-old man from Philadelphia, went unconscious after using heroin at a home on the 300 block of Main Street, police said.

Officer Zechman responded to the scene and administered naloxone, according to authorities. The man regained consciousness shortly thereafter.

He then was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
