Royersford Fire Department Battles Blaze in Development Over the Weekend

Royersford emergency crews responded to a building fire in a development in Upper Providence over the weekend.

The incident occurred in the Roboda development off of Vaughn Road at about 2:28 p.m. on Saturday, officials said.

Heavy smoke was pealing from the rear of townhomes when fire crews arrived.

Ladder 98 set up ladders and ventilated the roof, officials said. Crews also used multiple hand lines to fight the blaze, which was soon extinguished.

Crews were on scene for about three hours.

No injuries were reported.

It's unclear what caused the blaze.
