ROYERSFORD, PA — The Royersford Fire Department announced exciting news this week, as they are the recipients of a significant grant.
The department has been awarded $265,000 as part of the SAFER Grant program, designed to help departments maintain the number of trained firefighters on their squad.
Royersford will use a portion of the money from the program — the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response — for training of overnight crews. The rest will be used for recruitment campaigns.
