Royersford To Get New Fire Station

The Royersford Fire Department will begin construction on a new fire station in 2016, they announced on Monday.

The new station will be located at the corner of 3rd and Walnut, across the street from the current station.

The building will be 11,000 square feet, the fire department said.

The first image above is a conceptual plan of the exterior of the building.

The new firehouse has been under discussion for some time, as advocates have long said that a more updated station was needed.
