Royersford Gets $125K Grant For New Riverfront Trail Segment

The grant also covers a new pavilion, picnic tables, benches, rain gardens, and more.

ROYERSFORD, PA — A new segment is being added on to Royersford's Riverfront Trail., thanks in part to a significant grant from the county.

The new segment will run from Main Street to the railroad trestle bridge.

The addition will include 10-foot wide ADA accessible trail, as well as a pavilion, picnic tables, benches, rain gardens,waste bins, stone wall restoration, signage, and more.

The $125,000 in funding comes from the Montco 2040 Implementation Grants, which are aim to help communities improve sustainability, connectivity, and the overall economy.

A total of $1,600,000 in grants was disbursed to fifteen different municipalities in the most recent round of funding.

In Jenkintown, the grant will cover site preparation, demolition, walkways, parking, fencing, stormwater management, utilities, and lawn and landscaping work.
