Royersford Ice Skating Rink Project Coming Together
Get ready to lace up your skates. The new ice rink in Royersford could be open soon.
ROYERSFORD, PA — The plan to bring an ice rink to Royersford this winter is moving along.
The borough announced on Tuesday that the rink has been ordered and has arrived in Pennsylvania. It is scheduled to be delivered to the borough in the coming days.
Pieces of the rink have arrived, but the busy holiday schedule has prevented the entirety of the rink from being delivered yet, according to officials.

Plans for the rink were first announced in October, and was met with widespread support from the community.
The rink will be placed in Victory Park's parking lot, where lighting already exists. It will likely be placed in the upper parking lot, although that has not yet been confirmed.

Officials plan to have the rink open for the 2017-18 winter season.
