Royersford Man, 90, World War II Vet, Longtime Graterford Employee, Passes Away

Royersford's Bob Wolfe, 90, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and was a longtime employee at Graterford Prison.

ROYERSFORD, PA — Robert "Bob" Wolfe, age 90, husband of Cecilia (Kelso) Wolfe, of Royersford, PA, died Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital. Born on November 1, 1926 in Hamilton, OH, he was a son of George and Daisy (Davis) Wolfe. He was a graduate of Central State University in Ohio. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Wolfe worked as an administrative officer for 5 superintendents at the State Correctional Institute at Graterford. He was a lifetime member of the NAACP.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, Mr. Wolfe is survived by daughter, Nettie (Fabio) Wolfe Silva of Royersford, PA; two sisters, Juanita Miller of Atlanta, GA, Dianne Henderson of Houston, TX; grandson, Jamie Silva, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Wolfe was pre-deceased by son, Frank K. Wolfe, two sisters and four brothers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10:30 am. Burial will be held in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:30 am Friday at the funeral home.
