Royersford Man, Longtime PA Railroad Employee, Dies At 88

ROYESFORD, PA — Robert A. Faggioli, Sr., age 88, of Royersford, PA, formerly Devon, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, PA. Born on January 31, 1929 in Devon, PA, he was a son of the late Bernardo and Frances (Calandra) Faggioli.

Mr. Faggioli was a graduate of Tredyffrin/Easttown High School. He was a trainman of the Pennsylvania Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was an active member of the American Legion, as well as the Italian-American Clubs of Devon, Wayne, and Ardmore. An avid sportsman, he was a fan of all sports, excelling as a pitcher in baseball and a wide-receiver in football in his youth.

Mr. Faggioli is survived by two children, Diana C., wife of Francis Mascaro of Collegeville, PA and Gary R., husband of Janet Faggioli of Wallingford, PA; six grandchildren, Jenny, Paul, Matthew, Marin, Jasmine, and Rebel Anthony; four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Devan, Sophea, and Luciana; two siblings, Mary, wife of Joseph Castelli of St. David's, PA and Dorando Faggioli of Royersford, PA; and his former wife, Dorothy (Castelli) Faggioli. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert A. Faggioli, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 35 Old Eagle School Road, Strafford, PA on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment will be held privately. Contributions may be made in his name to the Seasons Hospice Foundation, 6400 Shafer Ct. Suite 700, Rosemont, IL 60018.
