Royersford Man Sentenced For Raping 12-Year-Old Girl: Report

A Royersford man was sentenced on October 30 for raping a 12-year-old girl six different times while they were together in the borough, according to a Times Herald report.

Brandon John Kohler, 19, of the 200 block of Walnut Street, will spend the next 7.5 to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to six felony counts of rape of a child, the report states.

At the time of the incidents, Kohler was reportedly 18 and the girl was 12.

“What you did you can’t take back. You just messed somebody’s life up. You’ve gone too far. I have to send you away for a while,” Judge Garrett D. Page told Kohler, according to the Times Herald.

Kohler said that he was in love with the girl, that it was consensual, and that he would never force himself on anyone, the report states.
