Royersford Man Steals Family Car, Beats Woman With Hammer In Home Invasion: Cops

After fleeing from police earlier in the evening, the suspect was found "covered in blood" near a garage in Limerick.

ROYERSFORD, PA -- A Royersford man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a residency in Lower Pottsgrove, beating a victim with a hammer, stealing a car and other items, and speeding away from police, according to statements from the Lower Pottsgrove Township Police Department.

Brandon Robert Fisher, 29 ,has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery in connection to the incident, police said.

Fisher stole a vehicle and wallet from a family member on September 7, according to police. When authorities found him at about 5:15 p.m., he drove away at a high speed and police were unable to follow due to safety reasons.

Sometime later, he broke into an apartment on Sanatoga Station Road in Lower Pottsgrove, police said. Inside the apartment, Fisher severely beat a 23-year-old woman with a hammer, leaving her with facial and head injuries, according to police.

Fisher was found by Limerick Police at about 6:15 p.m. near Uba's Garage on 100 Lightcap Road. He was "covered in blood" and throwing out items in a dumpster.

The victim of the assaults was transported to Reading Hospital by Goodwill Ambulance police said.

Fisher was already wanted for probation violations. A preliminary hearing is pending.
