Royersford National Night Out Comes Back to Town
The nation-wide event is coming back to Royersford for the second year in a row this August.

The borough of Royersford will experience its second-ever National Night Out on Aug. 2 after a successful campaign in 2010. Last year, the United Church of Christ along with the Epiphany Episcopal Church decided to bring National Night Out to Royersford to help keep crime and drugs out of the borough.
The event takes place this year on Washington Street between 3rd Avenue and 4th Avenue, and on 3rd Avenue between Washington Street and Spring Street from 4-8 p.m.
“With great support by the Royersford Police, Fire and Public Works department, the borough of Royersford, area businesses, community groups, District Justice Walter Gadzicki Jr. and numerous volunteers, it was a huge success,” said committee member Richard Bach. “This year event marks the return of local first responders from Royersford Police and Fire Departments plus the addition of Limerick Fire Company with support from the borough of Royersford, several local civic and community groups and area businesses.”

“There will be a lot to do for the whole family,” Bach said. “There will be games for all ages, a craft table, face paint, police and fire equipment on display, several local up-and-coming bands, the local puppet group will be back again this year to provide their hit puppet shows. State Senator John Rafferty and State Representative Tom Quigley are planning to attend again this year, as well. So come out and help these area groups and business try and keep crime and drugs out of Royersford.”
