Theft

Officer Murphy investigated: On June 7, 2012 at 8:45am the Royersford Police investigated a theft/criminal mischief to a vehicle from a resident in 500 block of Pine St. The victim stated her vehicle was parked on N. 6th Ave when the actors cut the part of her license plate with a 5/2013 registration sticker of her 1998 Volvo.

Disorderly Conduct (Marijuana)

Officer O'Keefe investigated: On June 7, 2012 at 5:40pm Officers responded to 208 Main St on an anonymous tip of suspects smoking marijuana to the rear of that property. Officers arrived and investigated. Officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana and located a glass marijuana smoking pipe and a small amount of marijuana inside of that pipe. Julio Torres,27 of the 200 block of Main St was cited for disorderly conduct for that violation.

Assault

Officer McCarraher investigated: On June 9, 8:50pm officer responded to the Royersford Hotel for a report of an assault victim. Officers arrived and located a male with multiple injuries isolated to the head area. Medics responded and treated the victim who was transported to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center and was later released. David Bonolis, 27 a resident of the Royersford Hotel was taken into custody for the assault. Bonolis stated to officers that he was a golden glove boxer and that he knew how to fight. Bonolis was charged with Agg. Assault, Simple Assault and harassment by physical contact. Bonolis was arraigned on $10,000 unsecured bail and advised to have no contact with the victim.

Dog Bite

Officer Oberholtzer and ACO Daywalt investigated the following: On June 10, 2012 at 6:15pm  The Royersford Police responded to a report of a dog bite which occurred on June 9th.  Dennis DeCarlo, 61 of the 300 block of Gay St., Upper Providence was at 270 Green St visiting a friend on  the 2nd floor apartment upon leaving he was walking down the stairs and noticed the downstairs apartment owners motorcycle light on. When he went to notify the owner the pit bull broke through the door and went after DeCarlo biting him on the wrist causing (8) small puncture wounds. The following day(6-10-12) DeCarlo went to the Phoenixville Hospital for medical treatment thus launching a police notification as per hospital police. ACO Daywalt determined as a result of his investigation that the dog owner Paul Munz 56 of the 270 Green St. owner of pit bull terrier "ACE" would be responsible to quarantine his dog for (10) days, provide proof of rabies vaccination, register the dog within (24) hours, fix the damaged door from the dog breaking through and medical expenses incurred from the ER visit.
